RAVEN
Meet Raven! This sweet girl is estimated to be a year and a half old and weighs about 75 pounds. Some of her favorite things are belly rubs, showering her humans in kisses, hiding her snacks to save them for later and dinner. She loves dinner so much, sometimes she can be very vocal and even shows off her happy dance. And when she wants to play she gets the zoomies but it’s her version of Zoomies. You have to see it for yourself to understand! Raven is the sweetest girl who just wants to be around you and to be loved! She is very gentle when it comes to food and she absolutely loves (human) babies.
Raven had it tough for a while. She was abandoned right before Christmas in a very wooded neighborhood that is surrounded by coyotes and other wildlife. She was living in the woods with no shelter, she was very thin and it was obvious she had recently had puppies but the puppies were no where to be seen. You could tell she wanted to come up to you but she was so scared on what would happen to her so she kept her distance from all of the people who where trying to help her. Around the middle of January TX was going to get Snow so a plan was put into place to set a live trap for her. It took 3 days but she finally went in the day before the bad weather hit! Come to find out she had pyometra. It is a potentially fatal bacterial infection in the Uterus. She was under 55 pounds when she was first caught, She was unfortunately heartworm positive, loaded with intestinal parasites and starving. Even though she didn’t feel good she was still the sweetest girl!
Understandably, Raven is a bit timid at first but once she gets to know you she will be your new shadow and you will never have to go to the bathroom alone again.
All of the hard times are behind Raven! She has gone through heartworm treatment, she’s now spayed, healthy and happy. She’s ready to start her brand new live with her brand new family!
